Christine Idinge

Christine Idinge has been teaching Pre Algebra at Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg, Florida for the past nine years. She has a MAT (Master in the Art of Teaching) in Middle Grades Mathematics from the University of South Florida and an MBA from Florida International University. Christine resides in St. Petersburg with her husband Tomas, a manager with Accenture, and two children, Amanda, a junior at the University of Florida and Samuel, an eighth grade student at Shorecrest.

For many students, the middle school years are full of many changes – even beyond the physiological ones they experience. For example, at Shorecrest students switch classes for each subject, have a locker combination to remember and to open quickly, have multiple teachers with differing personalities, and most participate in at least one extra curricular activity. Algebra can be a difficult concept to grasp for some, but there are ways to ensure your child has strong foundational math skills for success.
